Pleasant Prairie Solar Project
This information is being provided in response to inquiries related to a proposed solar project in Pleasant and Prairie Townships.
Pleasant Prairie Solar Energy LLC, the Applicant, has submitted an application (case number 20-1679-EL-BGN) to the Ohio Power Siting Board for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need to construct a Solar-Powered Electric Generation Facility in Franklin County, Ohio.
Based on information submitted to the Ohio Power Siting Board with the application, construction of the Facility is expected to begin in the First Quarter of 2022, and commercial operation is planned for the Fourth Quarter of 2023. The applicant proposes to construct a 250 megawatt, solar-powered electric generation facility sited on approximately 1,729 acres in Pleasant and Prairie Townships in Franklin County.
The proposed project is exempt from local township and county zoning regulations and requires no review by the Big Darby Accord Advisory Panel.
